【摘要】:1PURPOSE:ThepurposeofthisUniformVoluntaryStandardforWoodPallets(hereinafterreferredtoastheStandard)istoestablishnationallyrecognizedminimumqualityrequirementsfortheprincipaltypesofwoodpalletsandtoprovideabasisforcommonunderstandingamongmanufacturers,repairersdistributors,andusersofwoodpallets.2SCOPE:ThisUniformVoluntaryStandardappliestoalllumber-deckpallets,eitherneworrepaired,aswellasthelumbercomponentsandfasteners.CriteriacontainedinthisStandardareapplicableonlyatthecompletionofmanufacture.ThisStandarddoesnotcoverpanel-deckpallets.ThisStandardisinthreeparts.Part1isthePrescriptiveStandardwhichconcernsthemanufactureofthepallet.Thisincludespalletandpalletcomponentdescriptions,fastenerdescriptions,workmanshipcriteria,dimensionaltolerances,markings,andmoisturecontentlevels.Part2isthePerformanceStandardwhichconcernsthefunctionalityofthepallet.Thiscontainsreferencestothetestingofphysicalandcomputermodelstoassistmanufacturers,distributors,anduserstodeterminetheperformancelevelofaspecifiedpallet.UseofthePerformanceStandardisrequiredfornewpalletconstructions,alongwithconformancetoPartIofthePrescriptiveStandard.Part3coverstheQualityAssuranceAuditingProgram.
